Art & Soul

BCATA October Conference 2023

Art & Soul Conference

Conference information will be available soon! The BCATA executive team is busy planning and organizing this year’s BCATA conference.

As we return to a more typical art teaching practice, we reflect on what we have learned through these past few years. Working through the lens of peace, mental health and trauma informed teaching practice, we know artists and educators play a powerful part in trying to navigate and make sense of difficult times. At our conference “Art and Soul” we are looking forward to being together again, seeing friends, laughing and learning together. Let us remind ourselves of the strength of our Art Education community and the importance of what we do.

Proposals that include accessible consideration will be prioritized. If there is any way we can support you in these proposals please let us know.

Sessions will be scheduled in 75 minute modules on Friday and 2 hr modules on Saturday. The focus of the Saturday workshops will be hands on studio based only. Studio workshops are also encouraged on Friday.
